But numbers alone don’t tell the whole story. Employees drove impact through local leadership and initiative, rallying colleagues and shaping initiatives that met the unique needs of their communities.

Impact where it’s needed most
A major driver of TQL Cares’ 2025 impact was Moves that Matter, a signature program focused on donated transportation. TQL provides logistics expertise and its 110,000+ carrier network to move charitable shipments to people in need.

After surpassing its original $2 million pledge in October, TQL Cares announced an additional $1 million commitment and a partnership with Matthew 25: Ministries to move charitable shipments during the Atlantic hurricane season.

TQL Cares also brought the company together through campaigns for American Heart Month, Military Month, a TQL Volunteer Challenge, Cancer Awareness Month and TQL Cares for the Holidays. It hosted over 20 Helpy Hours companywide, uniting TQL’ers to volunteer together for a shared goal.

Employee leadership helped TQL’s successful year of giving possible. In 2025, 145 Charity Captains – or TQL’ers who volunteer to lead charitable efforts – rallied 1,950 coworkers to log 8,600 volunteer hours across hundreds of grassroots initiatives, building team camaraderie along the way.

A Hollywood helping hand
It’s not every day a TQL’er volunteers alongside actress and philanthropist Jennifer Garner, but sales rep Jared did just that at a Mountaineer Food Bank distribution event in West Virginia.

Jared’s expertise in moving perishable food led to a partnership with organic kids’ meal company Garner co-founded, Once Upon a Farm, in 2018. TQL’s Moves that Matter and Once Upon a Farm’s A Million Meals program, developed with Save the Children, teamed up provide a million nutritious meals to kids who lack access to fresh food.

Moves that Matter transported 24 charitable shipments for A Million Meals in 2025, including the West Virginia event, where Jared and his wife, Itzhel, volunteered to distribute nutritious food to 300 families.

Garner was there too, loading trunks with meals and thanking volunteers.

“Jennifer Garner hugged my wife and said to me, ‘I can’t believe I get to meet someone from TQL!” Jared said. “We talked for about five minutes like we were buddies. She thanked us for the partnership and for working with TQL for so long. It really blew my mind.”

Running with purpose
Giving back is a team sport at TQL Grand Rapids, where employees turned their passion for fitness into impact. About 150 TQL’ers participated in a 50K for Cancer Awareness Month, logging distances from relays to half-marathons.

“We wanted to push people past their limits because that’s what you do with cancer. Some people said it was the furthest they’d ever run,” said Matthew, the office’s Charity Captain.

The effort raised nearly $2,500 for The New Day Foundation for Families, which supports Michigan families navigating cancer. Throughout the year, the office also led toy drives, baking projects and creative initiatives for organizations like Salvation Army and Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan.

Backing a former Bengal and reducing food waste
Alana, Charity Captain at Cincinnati HQ, supported the Sam Hubbard Foundation and IPF Food Pantry in 2025.

Created by retired Cincinnati Bengals player Sam Hubbard, the foundation in his name is committed to equitable access to food, education and a healthy lifestyle for all Cincinnatians. Alana helped pack back-to-school backpacks, created signage and even painted a room at a school.

She also organized a donation drive and fundraiser for IPM Food Pantry as part of TQL Cares for the Holidays.

Alana said the year of giving helped her understand her sense of purpose.

“I’ve always wanted to do more and contribute in any way I could to help others and support my community,” Alana said. “Through TQL, I was given meaningful opportunities to grow, get involved and continue giving back.”

People helping people
Sarah, a Charity Captain in Mobile, Ala., led local giving fueled by her nonprofit background and passion for service.

“TQL Cares is one reason I absolutely love this company. Being able to put on different initiatives – donations, volunteerism – and having the TQL match to amplify the community impact is incredible,” Sarah said.

She organized three holiday initiatives with Prodisee Pantry, where TQL’ers donated nearly 2,000 food items and volunteered quarterly in the pantry’s warehouse.

Sarah also led her office’s participation in a community Chili Cookoff benefiting the American Cancer Society and introducing TQL to new partners across the Mobile area.

Giving that feeds communities
In Las Vegas, Charity Captain Jordan led his office’s holiday giving efforts by partnering with nonprofit Three Square to support local families.

TQL’ers donated over 100 food items, including ramen and other foods with long shelf lives.

“Seeing our TQL team rally behind this was awesome,” Jordan said. “There were no special prizes. Just the goodwill of the team coming through to get the job done.”
