How Military Month highlights TQL’s year-round support for service members

This year, employees companywide honored service members, veterans and military families through fundraising, volunteering and monthlong expressions of gratitude, including a tribute wall inside Cincinnati HQ and patriotic exterior building lights visible from I-275.
TQL expanded its efforts to support both Disabled American Veterans and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, donating $36,000 to assist disabled and homeless veterans and assembling 6,000 care packages – 70% more than the prior year.

TQL Cares, TQL’s community service and charitable giving program, led the month’s corporate giving, fundraising and service projects, including a happy hour with a charitable twist called a “Helpy Hour.” After members of the public designed the care packages online, TQL provided the supplies, and more than 110 employees gathered at HQ on May 27 for assembly during the Helpy Hour.
Care packages included toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, cotton socks, wool gloves, tissues, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, rain ponchos and deodorant.
TQL’ers, customers and community members also sent thank-you cards as a reminder of appreciation for military service.
Milestones to remember
This year’s Military Month extended over 15 years of support. Since 2009, TQL and the TQL Foundation have contributed over $548,000 and 34,000 care packages to military nonprofits nationwide.
That long-term commitment is reflected in TQL’s 12-time Military Friendly® Employer designation and a workforce that includes more than 300 veterans and military members.
Year-round support for military members
