Employee Announcement Text And SMS Messaging Policy
Last revised effective 03/01/23
We may communicate with employees of TQL concerning company announcements of an informational or operational nature. These announcements may include without limitation, messages with information you need about TQL urgent developments, employee events, incidents, or power/service outages. These messages may be sent on behalf of TQL through the use of contracted third-party service providers such as xMatters. We will send such messages to your mobile device at the mobile device number you provided to TQL (the "Employee Announcement Program”).
When you provide TQL with your mobile device number, you consent to your enrollment in the Employee Announcement Program and you agree to receive mobile messages via text/SMS from TQL in connection with the Employee Announcement Program at the mobile device number you provided. If your mobile device number changes, or you are no longer the owner or authorized user of the mobile device number, you are responsible to promptly notify TQL of such changes in accordance with applicable TQL policies.
At any time, should you wish to discontinue your participation in the Employee Announcement Program, you acknowledge you can reply “STOP” to any mobile message sent as part of the Employee Announcement Program in order to opt out of the Employee Announcement Program with respect to messages from the associated phone number used on our behalf for the communication(s) (“associated phone number”). Should you make such a choice, you may receive one (1) additional mobile message confirming your choice to opt out. Once in receipt of your opt out, we will work to remove you from our contact list for the associated phone number for this purpose within fourteen (14) calendar days. If you opt-in again for the Employee Announcement Program with respect to the associated phone number after replying “STOP,” we will resume sending messages from the associated phone number to the mobile device number associated with your opt-in. You understand and agree that the foregoing options are the only acceptable methods to properly opt out of receiving messages through the Employee Announcement Program. You also understand and agree that any other method of opting out, including, but not limited to, texting words other than those set forth above or verbally requesting one of our employees or one of our third-party service providers to remove you from our list are not an acceptable or approved means of opting out.
If you are experiencing issues with the Employee Announcement Program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can contact us directly at 800-820-2770 (USA toll-free) or Compliance@TQL.com.
No purchase is necessary for your participation in the Employee Announcement Program and there is not a fee associated with such participation. Messages may come in the form of short code texts, which are 5 or 6 digit phone numbers often used by businesses to send and receive text messages. Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent through the Employee Announcement Program. You are solely responsible for any all costs associated with your personal mobile device. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
The Employee Announcement Program involves recurring mobile messages, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with us and/or with our third-party service providers on our behalf. Message frequency varies. The Employee Announcement Program will send SMS TMs (terminating messages) if your mobile device does not support MMS messaging.
The Employee Announcement Program is offered on an “as-is” basis and may not be available in all areas at all times and may not continue to work in the event of product, software, coverage, or other changes made by your wireless carrier. We will not be liable for any delays or failures in the receipt of any mobile messages connected with the Employee Announcement Program.
