Cincinnati, OH (Dec. 13, 2022) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest logistics firm in North America, has been selected by Foundry’s Computerworld as a 2023 Best Places to Work in IT. The annual award, TQL’s fourth straight, recognizes top organizations for excellence and quality in the IT workplace.

“This award reflects our values of investing in people and technology,” said TQL president Kerry Byrne. “We are intentional about giving our IT talent the resources and training they need to create market-leading logistics technology solutions. We salute our IT team for their extraordinary work.”

Computerworld ranked TQL No. 1 in Employee Engagement and No. 50 among large organizations as a top work environment for technology professionals. Judging was based on a comprehensive questionnaire with categories such as benefits, career development, future of work, training, retention and diversity, equity and inclusion. The Best Places to Work in IT lists were reviewed and vetted by a panel of industry experts.

TQL’s dedicated IT team has over 400 associates and designs the majority of the company’s business applications. In-house software developers design, develop, implement and maintain propriety software like Load Manager, TRAX and Carrier Dashboard.

TQL also offers an innovative IT Apprenticeship Upskill Program to cultivate existing talent among employees without prior tech training. The program equips internal IT prospects – former accounting, sales and operations employees – with a specialized education, on-the-job training and employment.

The Computerworld distinction extends an award-winning year for TQL’s tech team. TQL was a semifinalist for the 2022 Forrester Technology Strategy Impact Award for North America and won two others: the Cincinnati Lifts Inclusion and Minority Business (CLIMB) award for the IT Apprenticeship Program and Cincinnati Best in Tech.
