Total Quality Logistics makes record $1.76M pledge to charities
TQL Cares Annual Giving Campaign to benefit thousands of nonprofits
Cincinnati, OH (Oct. 12, 2022) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage and one of the largest third-party logistics firms in North America, pledged a record $1,755,357 to support 3,600 nonprofit organizations in its most successful TQL Cares Annual Giving Campaign.
Employees donated in record numbers to charities of their choosing and supported causes that included medical research, the environment, kids and pets. Over 8,000 of TQL’s 10,000+ employees, or 80% of the staff, made donations. The national median percentage of employees who participate in annual workplace giving programs is 39%[1].
“Our people came together for our best giving campaign yet, and I am so proud of their generosity and passion for others,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said. “Together, we can make a tremendous impact in communities nationwide.”
Charity Captains, a voluntary position that leads and organizes team volunteering for a two-year term, throughout TQL helped propel the drive by encouraging their teams to donate. TQL’s record donation surpassed its 2021 pledge ($1.25 million) and 2020 pledge ($955,831). The company matches thousands of charities at 50 cents on the dollar.
