Total Quality Logistics Gives $300,000 to Big Brothers Big Sister
Lead “Defender’s Circle” gift to help match Greater Cincinnati children a Big Brother or Big Sister
Cincinnati, OH (September 24, 2021) — The TQL Foundation, a Total Quality Logistics charitable foundation, is proud to donate a matching gift of $300,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati (“BBBS”). The contribution is the lead gift in a new BBBS initiative, the “Defender’s Circle”. The Defender’s Circle is an effort spearheaded by TQL to match all individuals on the BBBS waiting list with a Big.
“After being involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters for more than 15 years, we know they make a tremendous impact on the Greater Cincinnati community,” said Kerry Byrne, TQL President. “We have seen it firsthand at our company — one of our longest tenured and most senior leaders was a Little. The mentorship his Big provided helped him become the man and leader he is today. We could not be prouder to be the leading gift for the Defender’s Circle.”

It allows us the opportunity to plan for the future in a way we haven’t been able to in the past and has resulted in a flood of donations from others eager to know their gifts are being matched by TQL.”
The contribution was announced at the third-annual BIG Breakfast fundraiser. A group of business leaders from the region’s most influential Cincinnati companies came together to show their support for the mission of BBBS and raised nearly $280,000. The event featured a conversation between Kroger CEO, Rodney McMullen and P&G Executive Chairman, David Taylor on the positive influence mentorship can have, both personally and professionally.
To date, the TQL Foundation and Total Quality Logistics have donated $738,000 to BBBS.
