TQL's Wipe Out Cancer Patio Party

October is Cancer Awareness Month at TQL, where our employees and customers come together to raise money and awareness to fight cancer. Together, we raised $116,439 for the American Cancer Society (ACS), a record-breaking donation, adding to the $595,000+ donated since 2010.

Over 2,000 TQL’ers across the nation participated in a t-shirt fundraiser benefiting the ACS. In just ten days, our employees raised $51,131, including a TQL match. Additionally, from October 11-17, one of our busiest weeks of the year, we made a donation for every load moved through our Loads for a Cure campaign raising another $65,308 for cancer research.

To celebrate our fundraising efforts our HQ employees gathered for a “Wipe Out Cancer” patio party and check presentation to the ACS. Employees gathered in their “Fight Cancer” t-shirts to show their support and cheer on their teams during the Wipe Out team competition. Teams went head-to-head competing in the “Wipe Out” ring, an inflatable bounce machine, where their skills were put to the test as they had to jump and duck before getting wiped out by the inflatable’s spinning arms. As DJ Jimmy hyped up the crowd, the arms would spin faster the longer the teams were able to stay on their feet. One of our IT teams, Data Domination, took home the 1st place trophy with a time of 2 minutes and 28 seconds.
