Mo' Money For Mens Health

Total Quality Logistics let some personal grooming habits slide last month to support men’s health.

The Movember Foundation provides resources and funding to combat prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health problems that may lead to suicide. TQL got into the spirit with a contest to raise both facial hair and funds.

After kicking off the month with Shave the Date, Mo Bros across the company put down their razors until it came time to sculpt their masterpieces.

All told, TQL facial hair led to more than $4,200 in contributions for the Movember Foundation.

Ryan V. – a sales group leader from headquarters in Cincinnati - won Best in Mo, easily taking the popular vote with his question mark moustache. (Richard C. from HQ was runner-up in the voting.)

“Really, I just went online and was looking for ideas and that was one of the first things I saw,” Ryan said of his inspiration. “I knew that was it. End of story. Done.”

Cory J. from TQL Salt Lake City was the top individual fundraiser, collecting almost $700 for the cause. Alexandra D. – an LAET from TQL Mobile - earned top female fundraiser honors. TQL Evansville was the top fundraising team.

A patio party at Ivy Pointe headquarters to celebrate the conclusion of Movember streamed the announcement of the winners to satellite offices around the country.

The ‘Stache Bash also featured music, beverages from Mt. Carmel Brewery and a bratwurst bar.
