Let The Giving Continue

TQL Cares for the Holidays How our Team Cares Graphic

Total Quality Logistics earned many headlines in 2015 for its generosity.

TQL employees are responsible for $380,000-plus in donations - a 50-percent increase over 2014 – while the company has given more than $1 million to charitable causes so far this year

As the calendar comes to a close, we’re kicking off TQL Cares for the Holidays. The company wants to shine a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.

For example, members of the operational sales team got a jump on holiday giving with a Nov. 7 volunteer trip to the Ronald McDonald House near Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The group cooked and served meals for families staying there as their children undergo treatment.

“We just wanted to do something for the community,” said Marc B., operational sales manager. “I’m a little partial to Ronald McDonald House. I lost a daughter when she was 10 months old and we stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago while she was sick.”

Alishia L’s recruiting team at headquarters adopted a family of six to feed for Thanksgiving through Crossroads Church. The team collected food the week before Thanksgiving and delivered it to Crossroads Nov. 21 for distribution.

“Hopefully they’ll have plenty of leftovers, too,” Alishia said. “It’s one of 12,000 boxes going out locally for Thanksgiving. We’re glad to help those in need.”

Is your team donating to Toys For Tots at Christmas or collecting for a canned food drive at Thanksgiving? Do you volunteer at a homeless shelter, VA hospital or soup kitchen? Spend time reading to the elderly or the blind?

Let us know your story and how you’re helping your communities this holiday season. Send photos and/or videos of your volunteer work to socialmedia@tql.com. We’ll highlight some of them on the Life At TQL social media channels and here on the blog site.
