Challenge drives TQL runners in long-distance relay
May 19, 2017

Most companies celebrate the opening of a new office with a reception or an open house…appetizers, cake, drinks. You get the idea.
But we are TQL, and we celebrate every milestone by challenging ourselves to another. That’s why members of TQL’s Chicago and Milwaukee offices decided to celebrate the opening of TQL Milwaukee by running the Chicago Ragnar next month. The “200ish” mile race starts in Madison, WI and ends in Chicago.
Madison?
“We couldn’t find a team-based race that ran from Milwaukee to Chicago,” explains District Sales Manager Bryan H. “So we chose this one instead.”
Besides, it’s a great opportunity for a challenge. “If you don’t have something pushing you, it’s harder to move forward.”
The team is also putting its first-rate logistics skills to work. In addition to training for the run, they also need to figure out who on the 12-person team runs what leg, who rides in which van, and how they plan to refuel (both the vans and themselves).
“It’s not that different from what we do at TQL – it’s a team effort,” says Bryan. We can’t do what we do day in and day out alone. We can’t run this race alone either.”
Other than the running and van teams, volunteers from both offices will be posted along the route to cheer on Team TQL.
If you’re interested in going the distance, consider a
career at TQL
