Fun and flavorful ways TQL gave back
TQL’ers participated in February heart-themed activities that combined teamwork, fun and healthy living.
  • Heart Month Trivia with a Kick: Held at Cincinnati HQ and live-streamed to all 60+ TQL offices, this annual event pitted teams of four against each other for ultimate trivia bragging rights. Brave TQL’ers tested five spicy sauces from around the world—Thailand, Chile, Costa Rica, India, and Trinidad—during the accompanying Hot Sauce Challenge.
  • Gym Challenge: TQL’ers were encouraged to place a heart-shaped sticker on Heart Month signs after workouts at TQL gyms. Each sticker represented a $1 donation to the AHA.
  • Heart Healthy Potlucks: TQL departments brought heart-smart foods for healthy feasts, including fresh fruit, turkey meatballs and energy bites.
TQL has been a longtime supporter of heart health. Our employees have raised over $100,000 for the AHA during Heart Months since 2019.

Why Heart Month matters
Heart Month raises awareness of heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States, and encourages people to protect their hearts through healthy choices. It supports the AHA’s mission to educate the public and save lives.

In the early 1960s, scientists supported by the AHA found that combining rescue breaths with chest compressions could restart a heart. This breakthrough created modern CPR and dramatically improved survival for cardiac arrest.

Public awareness of heart attack signs and emergency response has grown over the years. Heart Month is a time to remind everyone how to recognize emergencies, act fast and save lives.

By raising awareness and funds, TQL employees helped advance life-saving research and education in February and beyond.
