The VETS spotlight features military members who have served our country. Meet Kevin, a TQL Group Sales Manager.

What motivated you to enlist?

I knew from a young age that I wanted to help others, especially those who couldn't help themselves. I believed joining the military would give me the most opportunity to bring value to my country. I chose the United States Marine Corps because I felt the Marines would offer me the hardest challenge and the most personal development.

Share your story of how you became successful at TQL.

I became successful by learning the database in and out when it came to prospecting new leads. I was in the office at 5 a.m. for most of the year in 2023 to secure new leads for my team members. This work ethic resulted in having the No. 1 year-over-year sales growth in Region 5 among all Group Sales Managers. Because of my team’s success, I am now going to be the first GSM trainee in company history to open a satellite office in 2024.

What are the benefits of bringing military experience to TQL?

I brought a great amount of understanding about work ethic. If you can be consistently disciplined in your craft and go all in, the sky’s the limit at TQL.

I was fortunate to do two combat deployments with some of the greatest leaders I've ever had the privilege to learn from. I learned many different leadership traits, but none were more important than earning the team's trust. The main thing I want my team to know is that I'm in this just as much as they are. I would never ask my team to do something I am not willing to do myself.

What motivates/inspires you?

My main motivation is my family. I have been married for 13 years and we have four beautiful children. For me, it's all about being able to put them in best-case scenarios to take on life.
