TQL Training Department Recognized Nationally

Two People Posing At A Conference While Holding An Award

Total Quality Logistics landed on another elite national list.

Training magazine named TQL one of the top 125 companies in the country for excellence in training and staff development.

“It was an honor to be mentioned in this international conference of people and companies,” said John C., national training team supervisor. “By attending this event, we had the opportunity to network with companies who run some of the top training programs in the world.

“Moreover, we made valuable connections with some of the top training minds in the industry and shared ideas that will only improve our award-winning program. It was a great opportunity to really learn from some of the best and bring all that back here for TQL.”

John and fellow national training team supervisor Kassy C. collected the award at a black-tie gala in Orlando Feb. 15.

Training determined its list by assessing several factors, including investment in employee development, the scope of the training program and how closely the training efforts align to business goals.

“The 2016 Training Top 125 winners set the bar high on employee training and development,” said editor in chief Lorri Frefield. “They consistently design and implement effective programs that engage their employees and yield demonstrable business outcomes.”

This was TQL's first time submitting an application to be considered in this 16-year-old competition; TQL was one of 28 first-time entries on the list and the company looks to be a mainstay going forward.

“We were networking with everyone after the gala, connecting with many companies in the Top 10,” he said. “That’s where we want to be. We're looking to apply all these new ideas to help our program and TQL jump up to the top 10 next year.”
