Puppy Love Hits TQL

A Group Of Women And A Dog Smiling With A Giant TQL Check

Forget Cupid flying around in a diaper.

A better way to pierce the heart and fill it with love is with a puppy or a kitten.

That was the thinking of the TQL employee engagement team, anyway, who paired with TQL Cares to create Shed the Love, a series of on-site visits by shelter animals.

Turns out they were right, too, as at least two dogs and a cat brought to headquarters by Dream House Rescue found forever homes with TQL employees Feb. 12.

“Time and time again our employees have shown they have a soft spot for animals,” said TQL corporate giving specialist Corey D. “This is something our people have asked us to do. It’s a cause our people get behind.”

Channel 9 news came out to catch some of the animal magnetism.

“Our employees work really hard and we just want to give them something fun to help relieve the stress,” Corey told the TV station.

The TQL Foundation presented a $500 check to Dream House, and also donated the proceeds of the Women In Logistics bake sale that took place concurrently with the animals’ visit.

Additional Shed the Love events take place Friday, Feb. 19, with Cincinnati Lab Rescue visiting TQL’s Edison office and Friday, Feb. 26, when the League for Animal Welfare visits TQL’s Cincy East office.

Consider a career at TQL if you’re interested in a tough business with a big heart.
