Memphis Brings Toys For Tots; Savannah Plays Secret Santa

TQL Employees Smiling With Christmas Gifts for CASA

The new Rogue One film may or may not have had an impact on Christmas giving at TQL Memphis.

Team Memphis collected 138 gifts for its Toys for Tots campaign, most of which were Star Wars-themed.

“Last year we gave toys to a local children’s hospital,” said satellite office leader Jason B. “It worked out pretty well.

“It’s just about being decent to others and treating people how you would like to be treated. Thankfully, we have a great group of people in the Memphis office who make giving a priority. We collected a ton of cool toys, but I’m pretty partial to the Star Wars stuff.”

TQL Savannah partnered with its local Court Appointed Special Advocates chapter for CASA’s annual Secret Santa Initiative.

Team Savannah –  which opened just this past October – had 100 percent participation towards its goal of donating 25 gifts to 10 children ranging in age from 7 months to 16 years. All of the kids are in foster care or group homes.

Gifts included winter clothing, diapers, educational items and toys, including a tablet for one of the older children. The team wrapped all the presents and delivered them to CASA.

With many team members new to the area, Team Savannah felt a particular connection with kids spending Christmas apart from family.

“Most of Team Savannah just moved here to open the office and will be away from home and family for the holidays,” said senior national sales recruiting team leader Kristin M. “We were looking for a great cause to support, and once we saw that the Secret Santa Initiative was for children who were in homes and not with family, we felt pretty passionate about supporting that.”

TQL Cares for the Holidays shines a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.
