Lindsey V.’s TQL Intern Experience
This summer, I had the opportunity to intern with TQL at their headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. For my first internship experience, TQL has set the bar high.
Throughout the summer, I got to learn and grow more than I ever thought I would. Overall, I gained a sense of professionalism and became comfortable in an office environment – things no college class can teach you.
As an intern at TQL, I had the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. I found this to be extremely valuable, not only in building my overall skillset but in deciding which type of work is most suitable to my individual strengths. I wrote several blog posts, pitched stories to news stations, created story ideas and captions for social media, edited web pages for the TQL website and much more.
Outside of the office, my favorite memory with TQL is the FC Cincinnati game at TQL Stadium that we went to as a team. We were a part of the grand opening of the TQL Beer District in the stadium, where we got to be the first people to experience the space, participate in a video shoot and kickback with some beers.
The main reason I think I enjoyed this experience so much is TQL’s culture and the people I was surrounded by every day. From start to finish, I felt so welcomed and encouraged by my co-workers. From team lunches every Friday to intermural volleyball games on Wednesdays, I loved the atmosphere of the office I was working in.
