TQL Has It in the Bag

With baseball teams playing in empty stadiums and the fate of football hanging in the balance, we are missing sports more than ever. So when Team Louisville offered up their long-standing office tradition, it quickly became a company-wide competition. This August, TQL’s first ever Cornhole Tournament, or “Bags” for our central US teams, was born.

While it was no Masvidal v. Henderson face off, 70 teams from 51 cities paired up to compete for ultimate bragging rights and big prizes. With 15,000+ bags tossed, our teams fought hard for prizes like a foosball table, snacks for a year, a disco ball or a Pop-A-Shot. After two weeks of fierce bracket competition, TQL San Antonio took home the W in the final round, upsetting competitors in Cleveland and the Finance & Accounting Team in Cincinnati. Team San Antonio basked in their win, which brought home donuts for the 34 offices in their region and a new foosball table for their office.

It didn’t end there. Hungry for more, those still hoping to win competed in a Cornhole-in-One competition. Team Louisville’s Culture Captain sunk seven out of eight tosses and won $100, showing off their years of practice.

While our fingers are crossed for football this fall, we’ll keep competing at TQL. Maybe putt-putt next? For now, we keep winning the freight game every day.
