Slow Down, Candy Crossing

If you didn’t receive enough sugary sweet treats during Easter, team Chicago can help you get your fix.

For the second year in a row, TQL team members join 10,000+ volunteers across Greater Chicago to raise money for the Misericordia Center, a home for more than 600 children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

During Candy Days, thousands of volunteers take to the streets stopping pedestrian and motorist passerby and offering them packs of jelly beans in exchange for donations. In just two days, more than $1,000,000 is typically raised, making this one of the non-profit center's most important fundraisers.

TQL friend and business contact Hank Cox, executive vice president of CBRE Group, Inc., brought TQL into the fold for this special Chicago effort.

“My daughter Robin has Down syndrome and started in Misericordia after graduating from high school,” he said. “I was really excited when TQL became involved.”

Candy Days takes place on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. The TQL team will be stationed at the intersection of Lake Hook Rd. and Route 83.
