TQL treated employees and their families to Fall Fest on Oct. 17 at company headquarters, transforming the parking lot into an autumn carnival complete with a 48-foot-tall Ferris wheel, petting zoo, car show, games, hayrides and a pumpkin patch.

Now in its fourth year, Fall Fest gives employees a chance to enjoy a Saturday afternoon of free food, rides and activities. The event celebrates the people who keep TQL running 24/7/365.

Fall Fest is one of four signature events TQL hosts for employees and their families. Pancakes with Santa, Easter Eggstravaganza and Summer Picnic also give loved ones a chance to experience the company firsthand. TQL hosts more than 280 events annually for employees across its 65+ offices.

Rides, games and more

Emcee DJ Jon Jon kicked things off with Halloween music while a magician and jugglers entertained the crowd and face painters created colorful designs.

TQL’ers and their guests explored the activities at their own pace. Some headed to the petting zoo to meet sheep, goats, alpacas, miniature donkeys and other animals, while others made their way toward the rides.

The Ferris wheel, visible to drivers passing by on I-275, was the focal point of Fall Fest. Kids also raced to the top of a transparent rock-climbing wall, took a spin on a teacup-style ride and braved a swing that tilted at a 45-degree angle. An inflatable slide and two bounce houses rounded out the lineup.

Kids tested their skills at ring toss and fishbowl toss, tried their luck at a lollipop pull and spin-a-prize, and took part in a new cookie walk for a sweet reward.

Adults 21 and older visited a gaming tent featuring table games, a raffle and a boozy ring toss.

Pumpkins, hayrides and more

Guests of all ages enjoyed hayrides, picked out pumpkins and toured a car show that included trunk-or-treat fun. Cornstalks, hay bales and balloons added to the festive fall atmosphere. TQL’ers also had opportunities to mingle with company mascot Blue and pose for photos throughout the sunny yet crisp afternoon.

Fall favorites on the menu

Food and drinks kept TQL’ers and their guests fueled throughout the afternoon. The menu featured cookout favorites, including burgers, hot dogs and sides from the TQL café, along with pizza from a LaRosa’s truck. Guests enjoyed kettle corn, funnel cakes and fried Oreos. Beverages included soft drinks, water and Capri Suns, along with beer and cider for adults.
