TQL’ers showed their support for lifesaving cancer research during Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Through employee generosity and a matching contribution from the TQL Foundation, TQL donated $119,537 to the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Gary Carr, TQL’s Vice President of Sales, presented a check to the ACS in an Oct. 28 celebration at Cincinnati HQ. A longtime supporter of the cause, TQL has donated over $1 million to the nonprofit organization since 2010, demonstrating a sustained commitment to cancer research and awareness.

TQL Cares, the company’ corporate social responsibility and engagement program, added an entertaining twist to the philanthropic efforts by hosting a Stronger than Cancer obstacle course and patio party on the HQ lawn.

Thirty competitors from TQL offices nationwide competed in a challenging course featuring ropes courses, sandbag crawls and a vertical wall. Employees cheered them on in person and via live-stream watch parties from satellite offices.

Team Hendricks posted the best average time and was crowned champion. The group edged Teams Sales Support and Knipper to win a trophy, bragging rights, a beer drop and donuts for their team.

The victors were Ryan–Chicago; Garrett–Dayton; Kevin–New Orleans; Carter–Mobile; Greg–Baton Rouge; Ashton–Cincinnati; Cody–Cincinnati; Charles–Laredo; Sean–Houston; and Stephan–Minneapolis.

TQL supported Cancer Awareness Month in other ways big and small, from lighting HQ’s exterior facing I-275 with the words “Fight Cancer” to the employees who wrote personalized cards honoring loved ones battling the disease. The cards were displayed on tribute walls in all TQL offices.

TQL donated $5 to the ACS for each workout employees completed in seven office gyms. TQL’ers further supported the mission by purchasing commemorative shirts for Cancer Awareness Month.

Together, these efforts reflect TQL’s belief that every action brings us closer to a cure.
