TQL named one of 100 Best Places to Work in IT
Computerworld Magazine and Insider Pro, a new technology media outlet, have named Total Quality Logistics (TQL) to its 2020 list of 100 Best Places to Work in Information Technology.
Out of 52 firms in its category, TQL ranked #21 among large organizations on the “Best Places to Work in IT” list. This is TQL’s second consecutive year making this list, climbing 15 spots from 2019’s ranking. TQL is the only freight brokerage firm to be recognized in this year’s rankings.
TQL’s IT team was recognized based on a comprehensive questionnaire on company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training, diversity and retention, as well as a survey completed by IT employees indicating their satisfaction with company offerings and work environment.

TQL expects to continue the growth of its IT team over the next several years. As part of its headquarters expansion, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, the new building will include a technology showcase to further drive collaboration and innovation.
Over the past year, TQL has significantly enhanced its application development capabilities, infrastructure resiliency and security posture including around-the-clock work to protect its business, employees, customers and carriers. TQL’s laser focus on innovative customer and carrier applications has increased the ability for self-service, enabling brokers to spend more time building relationships.Other company technology advances include using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Machine Learning (ML) to increase the efficiency of document handling, and the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to increase efficiency in back office operations and recruiting.
