TQL Relay Champions Make Local Non-Profit the Real Winner

Four People Smiling With Plaques and a Trophy

The TQL Corporate Relay Team celebrated a repeat win at the 2017 Flying Pig Marathon May 7th, but the real winners weren’t the four runners who crushed the 26.2-mile race with an impressive time of 2:50:08.

Matt S., Matt H. Kaitlin P, and Jorge G. instead turned their $1500 Aetna Corporate Relay winnings directly over to Big Brothers Big Sisters, a non-profit that matches children facing adversity with caring, professional adult mentors.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters is an unbelievable organization that does so much in the community,” said Matt S., Corporate Recruiting Manager. “TQL has had a longstanding partnership with BBBS so for us, it was an easy choice,” he added.

The official trophy, plaque and check presentation took place July 21st at TQL’s employee fitness center located in the company’s Cincinnati headquarters. The 2017 team, which included two new members, beat last year’s first place win by 14:37.

TQL has been involved with the Flying Pig Marathon for the past several years. It’s one of the many TQL-sponsored team events that align with the company’s corporate pillar supporting health and wellness.

Marathons, like careers, take endurance and commitment.  If you have the will to set new records, consider a career at TQL.
