Great Shave Paves Way For TQL Movember

TQL Employee With Shaving Cream On His Face And Beginning to Shave

Everyone needs a goal.

One Total Quality Logistics employee finished his Great Shave effort Nov. 1 in preparation for Movember and stated a lofty one.

“I’m going for the state trooper look,” he said. “It’s rugged. It’s sturdy. It’s manly. The state trooper is classic American.”

The question is, will he reach such an exalted state of moustache magic in just a month?

He and other men all over TQL country shaved close and will grow the mo’ during Movember. Why? To raise awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer, as well as men’s mental health issues.

What kind facial hair awaits when it comes time to vote Nov. 29 and hand out the Best in Mo’ trophy during the ‘Stache Bash Nov. 30? (There will also be prizes for best male, female and team fundraisers.)

Lots of options, of course, from the iconic Hollywood brushes of Tom Selleck or Burt Reynolds, to something more presidential like Teddy Roosevelt or William Howard Taft. Could there be an artistic mo’ like Salvadore Dali, or a twirler like Rollie Fingers?

More than a few may come up on the John Waters side of sketchy in such short span, but there could be a looming Hulk Hogan or Freddie Mercury-level moustache on the horizon. We shall see.

Growing a ‘stache is just one way TQL supports its people and the communities where they live and work. TQL and its employees worked with more than 140 different charitable organizations in 2015.
