Total Quality Logistics donates over $141,000 to the fight against cancer

Cincinnati, Ohio (Nov. 1, 2022) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest largest freight brokerage firm in North America and Cincinnati’s largest private company, is proud to announce its largest-ever donation to the American Cancer Society.

                                                   

During Cancer Awareness Month in October, TQL raised $141,201, a 20% increase from last year’s donation, through two fundraisers: Loads for a Cure and Pull for a Cure.

Through Loads for a Cure, TQL made a donation for every load moved Oct. 10-16, one of the busiest freight transportation weeks of the year. Tallying nearly $67,000.  

Then, through Pull for a Cure, TQL teams nationwide raised $74,500 with the company match as part of a fundraising competition. The top fundraising teams sent one member to headquarters for a semitruck-pull competition on Oct. 25. Four groups of 10 competed to pull a 34,000-pound truck 240 feet. The winning team completed the job in just 34 seconds.

Since 2010, TQL has raised over $770,000 for the American Cancer Society.

“Cancer affects everyone and unites us all,” said TQL president Kerry Byrne. “At TQL, we are intentional about celebrating those who have beaten it, supporting those who are fighting it and honoring those who have fallen to it. We are proud to make another record-breaking contribution to the American Cancer Society as it strives for a cure.”

TQL made a check presentation to the American Cancer Society following the semitruck-pulling competition.
