Fun, games and funnel cakes: Fall Fest delights TQL’ers and their families
TQL’s carnival-style employee celebration event returns to Cincinnati HQ
By Shannon Russell
Neither rain nor wind dampened the day for 850 TQL’ers and their families as the second annual Fall Fest celebration unfolded at Cincinnati HQ Sept. 28.
The carnival-style free festival debuted in 2023 as a new TQL employee appreciation event. TQL’s other signature employee events are Pancakes with Santa, Easter Eggstravaganza and Summer Picnic.
The autumn fun fest returned with something for everyone, from kids’ rides to a gaming tent for adults 21 and older.
An afternoon of fun
TQL’ers of all ages flocked to outdoor fun while wearing rain gear and toting umbrellas. Soggy conditions didn’t deter eventgoers from checking out rabbits, ducks, miniature horses, goats, chickens and llamas at the petting zoo.
Rides, inflatables and festival games kept the excitement going. Kids braved Zero Gravity and Strawberry-Go-Round rides and five inflatables, including a slide, obstacle course and bounce house. Young guests flocked to games, too: Plinko, Lollipop Pull, Dunk-A-Duck, Ring Toss and Chicken Launcher.
Adults headed to the gaming tent to try their luck at poker, blackjack and roulette. Some scored success in a Boozy Ring Toss game.
TQL’ers from many of our 60+ offices posed for photos and mingled with company mascot Axel Roads as part of the fun.
Did someone say food?
TQL’ers and their families enjoyed a complimentary buffet of pulled pork sandwiches with beer cheese, black bean burgers, grilled beer bratwursts and hot dogs. Side dishes (cheesy Spaetzle, potato pancakes, fruit salad, garden salad and chips) complemented sweet treats (fried Oreos, funnel cakes and kettle corn).
Face painters created colorful masterpieces in the festively decorated HQ cafeteria, where many TQL’ers enjoyed the complimentary fare from food trucks.
Award-winning culture
Did you know TQL has been named to the prestigious Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list three times since 2019?
TQL’ers design a culture that includes volunteerism, fundraising, employee appreciation events, Employee Resource Groups, leadership and development support, diversity and inclusion, and a President’s Club all-expenses paid trip for top sales members.
