TQL Gives Employees Bang For Their Bucks

TQL began its national expansion program in 2009 in an effort to tap into a wider pool of talent around the country.
Since then the company has grown to 50-plus offices in 24 states. We’ve opened 15 new locations in 2016 alone (with more to come before the end of the year) and grown the employee roster to more than 4,000 people.
A new report from the job-search website Glassdoor.com shows TQL has been opening offices in cities where salaries will stretch the furthest.
Starting with its Cincinnati headquarters - #7 on the list of most affordable cities - nine of the top 10 towns on the Glassdoor list are home to TQL offices. The company has announced plans to open in the 10th later this year.
Look at the entire list and you’ll see TQL is in – or has confirmed plans to come to – all but two of the top 25 on the list.
“This report shows where you live and how much you earn are directly tied to one another,” said Glassdoor chief economist Dr. Andrew Chamberlain. “Though there are certainly other financial factors to consider when taking into account total cost of living, this data reinforces the fact that pay typically goes further in mid-sized cities versus big metropolitan areas where there is often tighter competition for housing.”
Glassdoor’s list ranked cities according to a cost of living ratio determined by the ratio of median annual base salary to median metro home value.
Median annual base salaries are based on at least 1,000 reports shared by local employees from April 2015 to April 2016. Median home cost was determined by the Zillow Home Value Index for All Homes as of March 2016.
The report compares the 50 most populated U.S. metros according to the U.S. Office of Management & Budget. The number of open jobs per city represents active job listings on Glassdoor as of August 2016.
