Getting Back To Normal

All clear.

Hurricane Matthew forced the evacuation and temporary closure of six Total Quality Logistics offices last week, but none were damaged by the storm.

“Right now all offices are running with no issues,” TQL director of real estate Dan G. said Monday morning.

One employee had his home broken into and robbed while it was evacuated. Several others remained without power as of Monday morning. But those appear to be the worst of the problems for TQL and employees along the path of the storm.

While the actual offices were fine, parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and even Arkansas suffered significant storm damage. So - as always - the company is prepared to help communities in need as they recover.

“We set up a Red Cross microsite where TQL employees can donate to help with relief efforts,” said Corey D., corporate giving specialist. “TQL will match all donations dollar for dollar.”

Non-TQL employees can support Red Cross relief efforts right here.

Tripp M., Eric S. and Mike L. of TQL Tampa tried to deliver 20 cases of bottled water to offices across state, but thousands of vehicles returning after the evacuations led to four hours stuck on the road.

“We ended up coming back and taking all the supplies to Salvation Army Disaster Relief in Tampa,” Tripp said. “We just wanted the stuff to get to places it would help.”

The water was about the only load TQL affected by the storm and its aftermath. Teams from Erlanger (KY) and headquarters in Cincinnati stepped in to make sure customers and carriers experienced no interruption in service while southern offices were closed.

When we say we’re a 24/7/365 company, we mean it, even after a natural disaster. Have a load you need to move or want to become a TQL carrier? We’re here to help. All the time.
