Lights. Camera. Give.

TQL Memphis partnered with Local 24 – the city’s ABC television affiliate – for a food drive benefitting Mid-South Food Bank leading up to Thanksgiving.

TQL Cares for the Holidays shines a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.

Memphis came across Mid-South Food Bank earlier in the year when searching for volunteer activities. The team brought in 400 cans over a two-week period and served at a collection location to gather even more food and money.

“We made the food drive into a competition among sales teams to ramp up the excitement and we got even bigger results than expected,” said Jason B., satellite office leader. “The best part of making the donation and giving volunteer time is that we know we are helping people who can use it.”

Jason said Mid-South Food Bank is a great steward of its donated resources.

“I love the fact that when donating to the Mid-South Food Bank, you know exactly where your donation is going,” he said. “They do a ton of great work in our region.”

With TQL’s help, the Local 24 drive netted more than $15,000 and 6,000-plus pounds of food for people in need.

Team Memphis isn’t finished giving, either.

“For Christmas we are planning on doing another toy drive similar to last year when we collected more than 50 toys to give to a local children’s hospital,” Jason said.
