May Is Military Appreciation Month
TQL began Hauls for Heroes over 10 years ago in 2009 to help support deployed service members and veterans. A portion of every load moved the week before Memorial Day is donated to military charities. Since then, we expanded our efforts to honor our veterans and celebrate Military Appreciation Month all May. Through tributes to service members and letter writing campaigns to deployed soldiers, we strive to remember the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Hauls for Heroes: For one week in May, a portion of every load moved is donated to military charities, The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and United Service Organization (USO). The DAV provides direct services to disabled veterans and their families. The USO provides services to active duty service members and their families.
Since 2009, TQL has donated more than $224,000 through the Hauls for Heroes campaign.
Thank a Soldier: TQL started the Thank a Soldier campaign in 2018 to send notes of encouragement to our deployed soldiers. We collect messages from military supporters across the country online, and then TQL prints and mails the cards to deployed troops as a reminder that their sacrifice is not forgotten.
In 2018, we mailed more than 1,000 cards to soldiers deployed in Jordan.
Tribute Wall: Each year TQL creates virtual and a physical tribute wall at our headquarters to remember those who are currently serving or have served our nation. In 2018, our tribute walls received hundreds of ribbons representing every branch of the military.
Our Military Employees: TQL actively recruits and hires veterans and service members. The knowledge and experience gained through military service translates exactly to the extraordinary work ethic of our team.
