TQL Settles The West
With the same sense of adventure as pioneers on the Oregon Trail, Team Portland has arrived to settle the West.
TQL Portland, the company's first west coast office, opened its doors this week.
"This is brand new territory for TQL," said satellite office leader Pat B, originally from Cambridge, Ohio. "Not only is it good for us to have a presence on the West Coast for our customers, but it will offer lots of advancement for the founding team as the office grows."
Founding team members of the Portland office, including several born and bred Ohio-ans and a Maryland native, agree. Each was excited to make the trek out west for varying reasons - from Portland's accessibility to major cities like Vancouver and Seattle to "being a part of the immense growth and new beginnings" expected from this pioneering team.
Portland Mayor Charlie Hales also had words of welcome for the team.
"We look forward to the new jobs and business opportunities that this national leader in logistics and freight brokerage will bring."
TQL Portland expects to be 50-75 employees strong in the next three years and offer this advice to prospective jobs seekers.
"Bring your 'A' game, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, and the possibilities are endless."
