TQL Crawls For Cancer

Rough work, but somebody had to do it.

TQL Columbus sponsored the city’s annual Crawl For Cancer May 23.

Crawl. As in pub crawl.

Almost two dozen bars in Columbus’ Short North area – very close to TQL’s Brewery District office – hosted crawlers along the way. More than just sponsor the event, three teams of 12 from TQL (plus some family and friends pushing the number well over 40) participated as well.

In the process they raised $2,200 for Nellie’s Catwalk for Kids.

Nellie’s Catwalk for Kids, which began as a one-time fashion show to help fund pediatric cancer research, has raised more than $1 million for Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2007.

According to the Crawl For Cancer website, “Our goal in the end is unified: to provide money to causes dedicated to the research and eradication of cancer.”

The Columbus Crawl was one of several similar events across the country and company. Up next, TQL St. Louis plans to participate in its local event June 6.

Health and wellness are focal points in TQL’s philanthropic efforts, so Crawl For Cancer is a good fit. Pairing fun and creativity with good work in the community is another hallmark of #LifeatTQL.

“These are the kinds of events we love,” said Columbus office leader Scott H. “Crawl for Cancer is a great cause, first and foremost. But it’s also a great opportunity to be with other young professionals who are passionate about making Columbus a better place.”
