Team Kochhar, Manuel Provide Food, Gifts
A pair of sales teams at TQL’s Cincinnati headquarters continued their work with local partners to provide a better Christmas for families.
Team Kochhar collected more than 600 pounds of food for FreeStore FoodBank. It’s the second year in a row the team supported Cincinnati’s largest food pantry.
“They are a wonderful charity that helps families - and especially children from low-income homes - with food over the holidays,” said group sales manager Robby K. “They also have a very easy-to-work-with crew that drops off bins and collects them on-site, here at TQL.
“We come together as a team at TQL to not only work hard and earn, but to give back as well. This is an easy-to-work-with charity that helps families with hunger. We feel the best time to help out is during the holidays when people are in the giving spirit.”
Team Manuel/Hammond adopted a family of five – including a mother and four children ages 1 through 9 - and collected all 26 items from a wish list provided by St. Vincent DePaul Cincinnati. This is the second Christmas in a row Team Manuel has supported St. Vincent DePaul.
“By adopting a family as a team, it helps us come together and understand the importance of teamwork and supporting those in need,” said senior logistics account executive Nicholas N. “It is important to us to be involved because our community is what makes us strive for success in any facet.
Gift items included cooking and cleaning supplies, a Kroger gift card, clothing and toys like walkie talkies, a pair of bicycles, an mp3 player, a blue tooth speaker and a train set.
“We were excited our team rallied to ensure everything was purchased,” Nicholas said. “While many of these toys put a smile on the kids’ faces, I really think the most popular and coolest item is ensuring the family’s basic necessity was met with the Kroger gift card to stock the fridge during the holidays. Kids grow tired of toys and grow out of clothes, but ensuring the mother could feed the family was huge in my opinion.”
