Edison, IT Partner With Local Charities

Group Of People Smiling In Front Of A Christmas Tree With Gifts

A pair of Cincinnati teams partnered with a pair of Cincinnati faith-based charities to provide Christmas cheer for those in need.

At the Edison office in Milford, carrier services associate Heather P. led a drive that filled Christmas wish lists for 105 children via Wrapping Clermont Together. Items included toys and winter clothing.

The 2016 drive served as a unifier at Edison.

“Even though carrier services is all one department, we all work different shifts so we’re rarely able to do anything together,” Heather said. “Wrapping Clermont was something we could all do together for an awesome cause.

“I feel it’s important for the Edison crew to be involved in charitable giving because who doesn’t want to help? Who doesn’t get that warm, fuzzy feeling when helping someone in need? Helping these children have an awesome Christmas meant so much to everyone here at Edison. Just imagining those children opening up their gifts and seeing their smiles warms all of our hearts.”

At TQL headquarters, the information technology team continued its ongoing relationship with BLOC Ministries, an organization based in the western Cincinnati suburb of Cheviot.

“The IT department partnered with BLOC Ministries to support six families,” said network administrator Clint G.  “We purchased toys and clothing for 20 children.”

The children ranged in age from four months to 16 years.

“The IT department has supported BLOC for the past five years,” Clint said. “We continue to support families in need because we want to give back to the community. I think TQL has a good model to encourage employees to give back.”

TQL Cares for the Holidays shines a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.
