Maumee, OH – Total Quality Logistics announced its latest sales office today in suburban Toledo, Ohio. The office at 1740 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, OH 43537 is scheduled to open for business April 4, 2016.

This is the Cincinnati-based company’s sixth city in the Buckeye state, joining offices around the Tri-State, as well locations in Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland and Akron.

“The City of Maumee, Ohio, is proud to welcome Total Quality Logistics, one of the largest freight brokerage firms in North America, as it expands its business to our community,” said Maumee Mayor Rich Carr. “Our city has a population of approximately 14,000, but over 30,000 hard-working men and women are employed here. Total Quality Logistics’ decision to locate in Maumee provides an even better opportunity for our area businesses to utilize the services of this rapidly growing company. We believe that TQL coming to Maumee will benefit TQL, our business community and the residents of our city.”

“We are pleased to have a vibrant and rapidly growing company like Total Quality Logistics (TQL) establish its northwest Ohio office in Maumee’s Arrowhead Park,” said Maumee city administrator John Jezak. “By locating at 1740 Indian Wood Circle, TQL joins hundreds of other businesses in this area’s premiere office park, enabling them to market their services to the many potential clients close by.”

Lucas County commissioners issued a statement on TQL’s arrival.

“The Board of Lucas County Commissioners proudly welcomes Total Quality Logistics to Northwest Ohio,” it said. “Transportation and logistics is a regional economic strength, making this business and the 75 well-paying jobs it will bring an excellent fit for our community. The Lucas County Commissioners look forward to collaborating with this Ohio-based firm to further strengthen our local economy.”

Toledo will be TQL’s 46th office nationwide; the company operates in 20 states across the country. The new office will open with a founding team of five current TQL employees, as well as several more from its first hiring class prior to opening. TQL plans to bring 50 to 75 new jobs to the city over the next three years.

TQL connects customers needing to move truckload freight with quality carriers who have the capacity to move it.

“As an Ohio company, we’re happy to be expanding into the northwest corner of the state,” said TQL President Kerry Byrne. “Continued growth in Ohio helps us maintain our leadership position in the third-party logistics business.
