TQL Named Top 3PL & Cold Storage Provider

Total Quality Logistics (TQL) has been named to Food Logistics Magazine’s 2013 list of Top 100 3PL & Cold Storage Providers. This marks the third year the company has been named to the list. Food Logistics is a publication dedicated to the food and beverage supply chain.

“This year’s list reflects the growing diversity of 3PLs and cold storage providers operating in the food supply chain, who are adapting to changing demands from their customers and end consumers alike,” said Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics.

TQL is the second largest freight brokerage firm in the nation. The company assists shippers by finding qualified and available carriers across North America to move their freight. In 2012, more than 40% of the loads TQL arranged were for the food and beverage industry. TQL posted total sales of $1.38 billion in 2012 and moved nearly 700,000 loads of freight for its customers.

“TQL is proud to be a valuable partner to food producers, manufacturers, retail grocers, and ultimately the consumer,” said Kerry Byrne, executive vice president of TQL. “TQL’s attention to detail, from pickup to delivery, is what allows us to help our customers minimize missed shipments, delays, and ultimately product shortages on store shelves.”
