Cincinnati, OH - On Saturday, April 21, 2007, a team of employees from Cincinnati based third party logistics provider Total Quality Logistics (www.TQL.com) volunteered to be part of the 9th annual "Clean and Green” across America campaign. Organized locally by community non-profit Clermont 2020, the event featured litter pick up events in nine (9) different locations throughout Clermont county Ohio.
The event was part of a larger effort to reduce litter around the country called the "Great American Cleanup” led by Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest community non-profit organization. This year’s event is expected to draw more than 2.5 million volunteers in all 50 states.
"Part of our winning culture at TQL is to maintain a balance between life and work; one of the ways we can do this on a larger scale is to give back to our communities,” said Ken Oaks, President and CEO of TQL. "I'm both pleased, and honored that our employees recognize the importance of community involvement and participated in such a large way with this year’s ‘Clean and Green’ campaign,” added Oaks.
Becky Ploucha the local event organizer from Clermont 2020 remarked on Total Quality Logistics participation in this year’s "Clean and Green”, and in the community at large. "TQL is an organization that goes beyond just contributing to the cause and supporting ‘in spirit’. TQL had fantastic participation this year with over 30 volunteers,”said Ploucha.
Ploucha continued by saying, "We are extremely glad to have TQL in our community. I have talked with colleagues outside of my organization who also have worked with TQL , and we are thrilled to have such professionalism and community participation from an organization as large and strong as Total Quality Logistics.”
