Total Quality Logistics to Give $81k in Grants to Nonprofits Across the Nation

Cincinnati (OH), December 19, 2018 – As part of its companywide celebration for surpassing three billion dollars in sales revenue in 2018, freight brokerage firm Total Quality Logistics (TQL) said thanks to its employees with prizes and giveaways that included 27 $3,000 grants from the TQL Foundation totaling $81,000.

The 27 teams winning the grants received autonomy to decide where the money would be donated, adding to the nearly two million dollars TQL and its employees invested in their communities this year. Ultimately over 1,360 employees voted on their favorite nonprofits – many teams selecting organizations they volunteered with throughout the year. The initiative supports TQL’s philosophy of allowing its employees’ charitable interests to drive company giving.

“The energy and enthusiasm our teams have for giving is inspiring,” said TQL President Kerry Byrne. “When we empower our people to decide how to invest our charitable donations, they are even more motivated to volunteer with these same organizations.”

In 2018, TQL donated close to two million dollars and 4,000 volunteer hours to more than 1,800 different charities across the nation.

A total of 21 non-profit organizations will benefit from the TQL Foundation grants, broken down into the following fields of giving:

   - Children/Women Wellness - 44 percent
   - Medical/disease - 37 percent
   - Military/Public Service - 11 percent
   - Other - 8 percent
