Total Quality Logistics donates $123,986 to American Cancer Society
TQL Cancer Awareness Month campaign features Loads for a Cure, Ninja Strong Against Cancer
Cincinnati, OH (Oct. 24, 2023) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms, made a $123,986 donation to the American Cancer Society at TQL headquarters as part of its annual Cancer Awareness Month campaign.
“At TQL, we celebrate those who have beaten cancer, we support those who are fighting it and we honor those we’ve lost to it,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said. “Cancer has impacted every one of us, and it’s incredible to see our team members band together to support this cause. We proudly support the American Cancer Society’s search for a cure.”
TQL’s donation was the culmination of two initiatives: Loads for a Cure and Ninja Strong Against Cancer.
Through Loads for a Cure, TQL made a donation for every load it transported between Oct. 9-15, one of the busiest freight transportation weeks of the year. The donation totaled $68,935.
TQL’s second fundraiser, Ninja Strong Against Cancer, raised $55,051 with employee donations and the company’s charitable match. More than 1,800 TQL team members donated to the fight against cancer.
Ninja Strong Against Cancer was a spirited competition among TQL’ers competing on a ninja warrior-style obstacle course in the parking lot at HQ. As part of a patio party that was livestreamed to TQL satellite offices, three teams of 10 people tested their strength, speed and agility while competing for a championship title.
TQL presented its donation to the American Cancer Society during the event. Including this year’s donation, TQL has raised over $894,000 for the organization since 2010.
