Women in Logistics spotlight: Kit

Women in Logistics (WIL) is an Employee Resource Group that attracts, connects and develops the TQL community of women by providing internal networking opportunities, professional development and community involvement. WIL spotlights its members regularly to share their stories of success.

Meet Kit, a Senior Logistics Account Executive.

Share your story of how you became successful at TQL.

I started at TQL in June 2020 after graduating from University of Mississippi. I was mentored by many successful women in my office who taught me that my success was my responsibility. Making life-changing money depended on my effort and determination. I strive each day to be better, and that has resulted in my success at TQL.

What qualities or personality traits have propelled you to where you are today?

Some may say my stubbornness is a curse but in this business, it's a blessing. I do not take "no" for an answer, and I always think of ways to accomplish my goals.

What motivates/inspires you?

Providing for my family motivates me every single day. I work as hard as I do to ensure my family is well cared for and wants for nothing.

How do you maintain work-life balance?

The first year at TQL was definitely the hardest because I was dedicating most of my waking hours to building my book of business. My work-life balance started getting easier when I could bring on Logistics Account Executive Trainees and, most importantly, my Customer Account Specialist, Brandon Wise. Outside work, I love to play volleyball competitively, host supper clubs and read.
